Jorge Aranda

Veterinarian, DVM

Dr. Jorge Aranda was born in Chihuahua, México and moved to Texas at a young age. Even as a young kid he had a deep interest in observing and learning about all animals. He began volunteering at an animal clinic during his high school years and while doing his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at El Paso.

After completing his undergraduate studies he was accepted into St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine, where he did his first 3 years of veterinary school. He completed his clinical year at Texas A&M University.
It was at St George’s University where Dr. Aranda met his beautiful wife, and life took them to northern California to work as veterinarians once they graduated in 2019.

After a couple of years they made the move to San Diego, where they became a family of 3 and embarked on the journey of opening Sunshine Animal Hospital.

Dr. Aranda loves helping pets, but he also thoroughly enjoys engaging with clients and making sure their needs are being met as well. Seeing a lack of customer service and client communication in the veterinary field is what drove him to open Sunshine Animal Hospital. Dr. Aranda knows that every pet is unique and every client that comes through our door is giving us their trust that we are caring for their pet and providing honest service. We don’t take that for granted and strive to provide excellent care and service to each and every pet and client. We would love to meet you and your furry loved one and show you what caring can really look like!
